UK legislation relating to driver health assessments lags behind the rest of the developed world, leaving a chasmic gap in the risk assessment and management systems of all companies where driving for work is part of employees' roles. Assuming that younger drivers are fitter than older drivers is not valid and much needs to be done to avoid the affect of ramping road risk caused by poor driver health.
