Cybersecurity is a growing concern yet can feel overwhelming for business owners, and may become an afterthought. We discussed how cybersecurity doesn’t have to be as expensive as people may fear it is, and it can literally save a business as we saw with Knights of Old, and the huge financial impact on JLR recently. We spoke about how the road transport industry is going through a lot of changes with growing expectations and compliance, and if hauliers do not have the in-house knowledge or skills they may not fully understand the cyber risk, or wrongly presume that cyber insurance covers them. We explored the topic of ‘ Protecting Your Fleet from Hackers’ we also discussed the importance of cyber awareness for all staff in the transport office and in the cabs. In addition, we mentioned about a utility client of ours who runs trucks on biodiesel.
