Darryl has over 39 years’ experience in the automotive sector, beginning as a Diagnostic and Repair Technician. He developed expertise in ECU remapping, programming to manufacturer specifications, and working across light, heavy, electric vehicles, plant machinery, and F-Gas systems.

From 1989 to 2008, he was a Company Director managing a 16-person team and helping build a leading diesel diagnostic facility in the Midlands. In 2008, he founded Midlands Diesel Diagnostic Ltd, providing mobile diagnostics as an alternative to main dealers.

In 2012, he became Managing Director of Derbyshire Diesel Services, specialising in diagnostics, ECU remapping, and DPF fault finding while growing a strong Midlands client base. He later returned to Swadlincote Diesel as Workshop Manager.

Since 2020, Darryl has worked at Remit Training, progressing to Head of Technical Training and Commercial Director. He has driven major growth, expanding revenue from £200k to over £1m while maintaining excellent learner outcomes and high-quality training delivery.
