Paul Binks has spent more than two decades heading up the Learning and Development function at Kwik Fit, the UK’s leading automotive servicing and repair company. In 2019, his responsibilities expanded across Kwik Fit’s parent company, European Tyre Enterprises Ltd (ETEL), when he became Group People Director.

Paul has led industry‑wide programmes designed to enhance skills across the automotive sector, including the development of the national apprenticeship framework. Under his leadership, more than 3,000 young people from a wide range of backgrounds have begun their automotive careers through Kwik Fit’s highly regarded apprenticeship programme. His expertise and strategic direction have been instrumental in equipping the organisation with the knowledge and capability required to meet the demands of a continually evolving car parc.

In addition, Paul is an Authorised Examiner Designated Manager (AEDM) with direct control and oversight of the Company’s MOT testing activities, ensuring full compliance with the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) regulations, maintain testing standards, and acting as the primary management link between the MOT testing stations and the DVSA.
