Stephen Blackmore has spent more than four decades in the transport industry, beginning his career in 1982 with Leyland Trucks before moving into a 23‑year tenure with Volvo, where he rose to Group Sales Director for the East and Midlands region. Since 2012, he has led driver risk management at Turners, overseeing safety innovation for around 2,000 drivers. Stephen and his team have been instrumental in advancing AI‑driven risk‑prediction technology with SmartDrive and has shared industry‑shaping insights with partners including QBE, Euro NCAP, and National Highways. His work focuses on behavioural coaching, predictive analytics, and reducing risk through technology‑enabled driver safety strategies.
